Crossroads at Crabapple Antique and Art Festival
Believe it or not, this festival has been going on since 1969!
It takes place on ONE DAY only, each year, and features 50 Antique Dealers from 6 states and 50 local juried artists. Thousands of antiques primarily 19thcentury American Country furniture, smalls, primitives, to some shabby chic and unique pieces of art in all mediums (oils, photography, jewelry, scarves, birdhouses, glass blown ornaments to name just a few) will sell quickly, so come early and stay all day for this old- fashioned festival.
Rounding out the show are roaming musicians, fantastic food, children activities from 2PM-4PM at the Goddard School. An easy walk to show or ride the free trolley and handicapped parking is provided.
Second Year For Alpharetta Artists Group
Alpharetta artists, Jane Berke, Maureen Engle, Jennifer Ferris, and Lorra Kurtz, were brought together by their love of painting, classes at the Alpharetta Arts Program (taught by Maureen), and a desire to show their work at events such as Crossroads at Crabapple. Painting together as a group has so many benefits: group critiques and perspective, sharing of tips, tricks, and tools, and the value of a social outlet. The collaboration enhances the quality of all of their work, and of course, is so much more stimulating than painting alone.
The artists also exhibit in local galleries and shops, including Galerie Matilda, The Broadwell Cottage, and The Art House .
This event will be held on Saturday, October 1st from 9am – 5pm in the Historic Community of Crabapple, close to Roswell and Alpharetta, GA. The festival benefits the Boy and Girl Scouts, the Crabapple Community Association as well as other non-profit charities. Free Parking and Admission.
